Farleigh Hospice is a registered charity (no. 284670) which provides hospice care to people affected by life-limiting illnesses across mid Essex. Since being established in 1982, our hospice and our team of healthcare professionals has grown and evolved to meet the changing needs of the community we serve.

We provide care for any illness that is considered life-limiting (including cancer, neurological diseases, and chronic heart, lung, and renal diseases), both in our Inpatient Unit and in our patient’s home environments. We also provide support for families and carers, and for people who have been bereaved. Our bereavement support is available to anyone in mid Essex, even if their bereavement is not connected to our hospice. You can refer yourself, a family member, or a friend to our services (with their consent), or you can be referred through your GP. Messages of condolence

Very sad to hear of Joe's death. Joe was very influential in our early ringing days in Essex before we moved away in the early '70s and we have fond memories of him. Thinking of you and the family at this sad time. Keith and Marilyn Brown

Mr Keith Brown

Dear Mary, It has been a joy to be friends with Joe and to ring with him. Always so willing to share his wealth of knowledge on so many subjects and so interesting to listen to. Many treasured memories of weekends away and days out ringing with you both. We will miss him. Always in our hearts. Our love to you and the family. Janice & David

Dear Mary, Paul and David. Joe might not have taught me to ring but he was a big influence in my ringing career. Whenever I'm ringing at Danbury he is in that tower listening to the striking!! He was the salt of the earth and will be greatly missed. RIP Joe and much affection Mary. Ann and Mark Woolley
